News - Junior Footy

Congratulations to all those players and coaches who attend the Rep day and great achievement for all participants. Across all the age groups, over 30 Willoughby boys were selected and took part.

Shown below are the U13 North team which included over 12 Willoughby and Mosman players and Wildcat Coach Craig Tidemann…..undefeated!

Our players got pretty dirty at U10's Gala Day hosted by Manly on Sunday.

They played to a really high standard, played some tough football, and as the smiles and mud will attest, they had a great time.

Our Under 11's and 12's were treated to an extra special training session a few weeks ago when Toyota decided to use Gore Hill and our budding talent as extras in their latest advertisement for the Good for Footy Raffle initiative

Adam Goodes spent nearly two hours with the kids joining in drills.  Take a look! [click thumbnail to enlarge]

And here is the end result:

Willoughby Public School's AFL team have come second in the Paul Kelly Cup which is contested by public and private schools throughout the State. After an excellent effort to win the Sydney wide competition, Willoughby played in the State finals at the SCG on August 17.

The team contained many Wildcat boys - Tom Wright, Jarrod McCabe and Max Russell from the under 12s and Shaun & Dean Wajzer, Rory Madderom, Lucas Head, Nelson Matthews and Ethan Clarke from the under 11s.
