Volunteers – Get Involved in 2027!
Help Make Our 50th Anniversary Season One to Remember!
The Willoughby Wildcats are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community football club, and our volunteers are at
the heart of everything we do.
As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of Wildcats football in 2027, we’re looking for enthusiastic parents and community members to help make the season a success.
Whether you can contribute a few hours each week or take on a leadership role, your involvement makes a real difference to the experience we provide for our young players.
We’re Recruiting for 2027!
Auskick Lead
Help coordinate our Auskick program and create a fun, welcoming introduction to AFL for our youngest players. The Auskick Lead will help organise Sunday morning sessions, support parent helpers and coaches, and ensure families enjoy a positive first experience with the Wildcats.
Superkick Lead
Help guide our seven-year-old players as they take the next step in their football journey. The Superkick Lead will coordinate Sunday sessions,
support volunteers and help prepare families for the transition into U8 junior football.
Coaches – Across All Age Groups
We’re always looking for enthusiastic parents and community members to get involved in coaching.
Whether you’re an experienced coach, a former player or a parent keen to give it a go, we’d love to hear from you.
Coaching is a fantastic opportunity to help children develop their skills, build confidence, learn teamwork and enjoy their football.
Training and support are available, and you don’t need to have played AFL at a high level to make a difference.
U8 Age Group Coordinator
We’re looking for a parent from our 2026 Superkick community to help guide players and families into their first season of junior football.
This role involves supporting team formation, coordinating communication and working alongside coaches, team managers and the committee.
U9 Girls Team Manager
We’re seeking a parent to help welcome and coordinate girls transitioning from Superkick into junior girls football in 2027.
This role will support team communications, match-day organisation and help create a positive team environment for our youngest junior girls.
Communications Volunteer
Work alongside our existing Website Lead and Social Media Communications Lead to help keep Wildcats families informed and connected.
This role will assist with club announcements, newsletters, events and promoting the many great things happening across our community.
Sponsorship Lead
Help build relationships with local businesses and grow our community sponsorship program. This role will work with the committee to develop
partnerships, support existing sponsors and identify new opportunities to help fund grassroots football.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is a great way to meet other families, become more involved in your child’s football journey and contribute to a club that has been part of the North Shore community for 50 years.
You don’t need to be an AFL expert or have previous committee experience. We’ll provide guidance and support to help you get started.
Whether you can help on the field, behind the scenes or with club operations, there’s a place for you at the Wildcats.
